Amster Vastgoed
Who we are looking for

Person first, agent second.

We look for people who can bring calm to the table, even when the price is daunting or the client is unsure. Who listen before they advise. And who understand the difference between selling and guiding, and choose the latter.

Professional qualifications are welcome, but not a requirement for every role. We value how you carry yourself in a conversation more than the courses on your CV. The certifications we need, we arrange together during your time with us.

We'd rather have someone who still has something to learn than someone who thinks they already know it all.

The high-end segment calls for calm, patience and an eye for what clients don't say. You don't learn that in a course. You develop it on the job, guided by people who know the trade.

Culture

How things work here.

Four things that make our work different from that of many other real estate agencies. Not as policy on a website, but in how we show up every day.

Small team

Everyone knows every case

Everyone knows every client and every case. No handover notes, no "let me check on that". We make decisions together, right away.

Premium segment

Mainly the high end

We work mainly in the premium segment of Amsterdam, with attention to discretion and the Qualis network. No volume brokerage, but in-depth cases.

Unhurried growth

Better slow than hasty

We grow slowly on purpose. One new colleague a year, or even less often, is normal. Better one good match than four unsuitable people who happen to be available right away.

Room to learn

Time to grow

Joshua personally guides every new colleague. Courses and registration programs for VastgoedCert and NRVT are reimbursed and scheduled during working hours. Where appropriate, the same goes for affiliation with the NVM as a real estate agent or with the NWWI.

Commercial real estate valuer

Ready to join a driven team and use your expertise to help Amster Vastgoed continue to grow? Our client base keeps growing, so we are looking for an experienced commercial real estate valuer in Greater Amsterdam.

As a commercial valuer, you are an important ambassador for Amster Vastgoed. You work independently on a wide range of valuation assignments across Greater Amsterdam and maintain professional contact with our clients.

You value different kinds of commercial real estate, including offices, retail space, business premises and investment properties. You are also at home with valuations of tenanted property and more complex valuation work.

Our support team helps you schedule appointments, gather the required documents and complete the files. That way you can focus fully on the valuation itself and on producing high-quality valuation reports.

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced, registered valuer with knowledge of the commercial real estate market in Greater Amsterdam.

What we offer

  • 24 to 32 hours a week
  • An enthusiastic and helpful team
  • Travel and parking allowance, plus a shared company car
  • Team outings: a weekend in Reims, cruising the canals, indoor skydiving and more
  • Friday afternoon drinks
  • Padel on Wednesday evenings
  • A good salary based on experience

What we ask of you

  • A registered valuer with an NRVT registration in the Commercial Real Estate chamber. Registration in both the Commercial Real Estate and the Residential chambers is a plus

  • A category B driver's license
  • The ability to work independently
  • Living in or around Amsterdam
  • Commercially driven

Marketing & Content

We are looking for a creative marketing and content intern who wants to help build Amster Vastgoed's brand and visibility. You help develop and produce social content, campaigns and presentations for homes in Amsterdam's high-end segment.

A home doesn't sell itself. Luckily, it doesn't have to. At Amster Vastgoed we make sure every home gets the attention it deserves. With strong photography, video, social media and branding, we make both the homes and our brand stand out. That's where your creativity comes in. We are looking for a marketing intern who isn't here to fetch coffee, but to bring ideas. Someone who is energized by making content, sees opportunities before others do and enjoys helping build a brand that keeps growing.

What will you do?

  • Contribute ideas to Amster Vastgoed's marketing strategy
  • Come up with and create content for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and other channels
  • Help create property presentations, videos, photography and other marketing materials
  • Build content calendars and analyze results to improve campaigns
  • Contribute ideas on branding, new formats and creative campaigns
  • Assist with photo shoots, video shoots and other marketing projects
  • Assist with phone calls and emails on the brokerage side of the business

What do you bring?

You are enrolled in a bachelor's program in Marketing, Communication, Creative Business or Media. In addition:

  • you know your way around Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Express and Canva
  • you understand SEO and GEO
  • you have a feel for social media and content
  • you are creative and not afraid to put your ideas forward
  • you work independently and take initiative
  • you have an eye for detail and a feel for design
  • you are client-focused and a strong communicator
  • an affinity for branding, luxury and Amsterdam is a plus

Do you already have a portfolio, a social media account or projects of your own that you're proud of? We'd love to see them.

What do you get from us?

An internship where you really work on the marketing of a growing real estate agency. You get:

  • plenty of creative freedom
  • the chance to actually see your ideas come to life
  • access to high-end photography, video and branding projects
  • a small, enthusiastic team where your work is immediately visible
  • an internship allowance of €750 per month (based on 40 hours)

Bonus points if you include one original marketing idea for Amster Vastgoed with your application. We're curious to see it.

Honest and transparent

We say what we do and do what we say, to clients and to colleagues alike. No politics, no needless hassle.

FAQ

Questions about working with us.

Five questions candidates often ask us. Don't see yours? Feel free to ask, or get in touch.

How does the application process work?
In four steps, taking about three weeks in total. You send an email with your CV and cover letter: who you are and why you want to work with us, in your own words. Then comes a first introduction, coffee at the office with Joshua and a colleague who fits the role; an hour, no round of questions, just seeing whether it clicks. If it clicks, you shadow a colleague in your intended role for half a day or a full day, so you see the work for real and we see how you handle it in practice. Between the introduction and the shadowing day there's usually a week, so you have time to think it over. If it's a match on both sides, we agree on a start date, terms and any investment in training. No standardized questionnaires and no weeks of radio silence: we always let you know, yes or no.
What does a typical day look like?
No two days are quite the same. Mornings at the office preparing viewings and talking with clients; afternoons often out for inspections, valuations or viewings. Once a week a team meeting where we go through our cases. Friday mornings are reserved for training or contact with the Qualis network.
Is there a company car?
For the agent roles, yes. For internships and office roles we reimburse public transportation or cycling costs. We're on the Jan Evertsenstraat, which is easy to reach by bike for our area.
Is there room for training or certification while you work?
Yes, and we think it matters. Through the Academie voor Vastgoed you can train with us as an assistant real estate agent, real estate agent or valuer; the course costs are reimbursed and we simply schedule the study hours during the working day. We see it as growing together.
Do you also work with temps or freelance agents?
No, and that's deliberate. We only work with people on a permanent contract, or on an internship contract. That's what makes our small-team approach possible: direct contact, shared responsibility and clients who always see the same faces.
